Day 18
Here is our storyboard from bottom to top, it starts at the college and runs to the alleyways at the back of Reigate.

Day 17
Script
The setting is a typical office block, Robert's office is on the top floor, he sits in a darkened room with just the light of his PC shining on him. The room is small and cramped, and is just off an open hallway. The Office is situated in a residential area, the town is quite and has typical shops, buildings and houses. However the office blocks will be the basis of the film as well as the streets, pathways an roads. The chase will start in the office and lead throughout the office, it will exit the office then continue down the nearby streets and alleyways.
The time period of this film is modern day, it is a typical modern day setting with all of the usual features of a british town.
The character Robert will open the film, a shot will fade in with Robert sitting at his PC typing in commands using the keyboard. He will be staring into the PC, he will be motionless, lost within the technological world in which he lives. The character will then turn his attention to some activity that is distracting him just outside his door. He leans over and peers of the small glass window on his office door suspiciously. He sees a figure pacing around outside, he looks closer and does not recognize the person. He panics and grabs for a gun that is placed on the desk net to his PC. He stands up and waits, carefully looking round and checking the position of the unknown man. He is pacing round, talking to a person on his phone, Robert picks his moments, he opens the door and runs! He sprints passed the unknown man
unknown man: He's here!
Robert Hardy: Oh Fuck! ( he continues running)
The chase begins, the characters are then introduced in the credits, these are freeze frames with the names of the characters and the actors playing them.
The chase then continues after these freeze frames and continues through the building and out of the office blocks (college)
The chase then carries on down the roads outside of the complex, the scenes weave in and out of roads and alleyways. The chase then ends when the unknown man gets cut off from Robert when he slips trying to cut Robert off.
The scene then ends on a cliff hanger as you do not know what is going to happen next.

Finalization of logo
Here is our first video entry for our day to day behind the scene blog
We have created an appropriate logo for our production company. We thought of many ideas but Alex came up with the idea for a bungee jumper silhouette. The group managed to find a simplistic picture through www.google.co.uk and then edited the picture through photoshop CS3.

Day 15
Budget: extra detail.
We are hoping to work with a budget of £50 for our movie. The main costs will be in production and office (£5), design, costume and make-up (£10)accomodation and catering (£5) and transport (£15).
Although this only comes to a total of £35, the extra £15 has been put in for just in case we run over budget.
Production and office:
printer paper, stationary etc.
Design, costume and make-up:
buying (if necessary) any extra clothing items and make-up effects (gunshot wounds etc).
Accomodation and catering:
We will most likely get hungry during filming and this £5 is to buy snacks during filming days.
Transport:
This is for bus/train fare, which will be quite a lot considering none of our group live in Reigate.

Day 12
Props & Clothes
For the props in our piece we will need are casual wear because the Robert Hardy is an ICT technician and doesn't need to be dressed smart.
The agent will be in casual clothing because he is undercover.
We will only need a few props like guns which we have, and possible gun holsters.
Day 11
During today's lesson we have done a script, and uploaded our pitch to slideshare.net. We have also edited our other posts slightly.Our script is predominantly actions of the characters, and only has a few speaking lines. Most of the speech is made up by Alex's narration which details the reason why he is in his situation. Also Ollie will be speaking on the phone to an unknown man before the chase occurs.Once we finished and finalized the script we added our pitch onto our blog, this was done by uploading our powerpoint to a website called slideshare, this made it possible for us to view a whole powerpoint within our blog.Lastly we finalized all of our previous blog entries and tried to add information that was missing from them.
Day 10
Script
The scene opens with a fade in shot of Robert Hardy (Alex) at his computer. He knows he's being watched by someone, but he doesn't know who. Robert will be typing on the computer, then a freeze frame will appear and the opening credits will start. Robert checks his gun which is lying next to him, he then checks the window in the door. He sees a man on the phone, Robert's Paranoia gets the best of him and he makes a run for it, the man on the phone played by Ollie turns out to be an agent sent to kill Robert by the government.
As Robert is in the room there will be a narration.
Robert Hardy: "This is my story! I was simply a ICT technician until i stumbled upon a secret that the government had attempted to cover up. My life became consumed with this secret. i constantly tried to get further and further into the system realizing the system is more corrupt than i ever thought."
Agent 225: (on the phone) "He's here?!" (turns around and starts the chase)
Agent 225: (after chase) "Damm it!" (with aggression)

Day 8
Issues
Issues we have we filming our opening sequence are the actors (Ollie and Alex) are going to be running around with toy guns. although we know no one is going to be hurt the police might have a different view on this, so we have responsibility to inform them that we are going to be doing so on a certain day.
creating suspense within the piece itself was a hard one to figure out but we decided that there isn't really going to be a soundtrack of music as such be just the fast pacing sounds of the feet and heavy breathing.
To also create suspense through the camera work we have decided to use handheld action shots and point of view shots for when Robert Hardy (Alex) is looking around to see where to go next. these shots will be done very quickly so the audience doesn't get to confused or bored.

Deciding a location
our group decided it was best to shot the 2 min opening sequence in part of reigate college and various parts around reigate high street, mainly in the ally ways and tunnels, this is because the college seems like a good place to start a chase, this is because some of the chase scenes we have obtained from YouTube start inside a building, which then progress to the outside, there are also stairs near the room we are going to be filming in, this will be good because stairs create more suspense within the piece because most audience members no how hard it is to run down a set of stairs under pressure, there is that constant feeling that you are going to fall.

Day 6
writing the pitch we realized we didn't just need it to sound professional we also needed it to look professional.
To do this we used Kyle's phone and took pictures of the locations and actors (Ollie, Alex) running. We did this to show that it's a screen shot from the film.

we have come to the point in the practical where we are about to start the pitch, and the first problem we came across was we hadn't actually discussed the name of the film.

Day 2 & 3
Analysis of film opening
What - Paramount, Lorne Michaels Production, Lindsay Lohan, Rachel McAdams, Mark Waters (director)
when - recent, released 2004
how - Teen drama and comedy.
why - to amuse and entertain the viewers, and to show a stereotypical American high school
sound - natural sounds, sound effects, overlaid soundtrack. Generic soft rock/pop music typical of high-school movies.
camera - wide range of long-shots, mid shots, close ups, extreme close-ups, tracking and establishing shots. Used to easily show the character's emotions and establish their personalities.
mise en scene - Typical high school scene, lots of props (lockers, teens, classrooms). Used to establish setting cinematically.
characters- all fit a high school stereotype: divided between their social groups.

narrative - 16-year-old girl on her first day at high school after being home schooled by her parents. she has to learn to adapt to her new way of life.

Day 1
Synopsis
Robert Hardy is on the run from the law. He has been considered as a high profile threat to society, nobody knows what he has done, but the government have issued an undercover agent to take him out. The setting is an old British market town, it is a quiet area, and Robert lives locally, just on the outskirts of the town. little does he know he's being watched by the agent. Robert is suspicious of a follower, it comes to his attention that he's not alone like he thought he was. The agent has been following Robert for over 6 months, since then Robert has tried to lose him by relocating, thinking he has lost the agent he tries to lead a normal life until there's a knock at the door, THE CHASE IS ON!!
